Scary Hotel Girl
A brilliant video showing how a tiny little makeover can make a normal girl petrifying to hotel guests.

Destruction
I am a lover of quotes and often find myself trying to illustrate famous quotes through art and photography.
As I was looking through msnbc's Week in Pictures I came across a picture which just made me stare. Although startling, the picture is captivating. The picture description is as follows:

After looking at the picture I thought I would find a quote to match and share it with you."Vehicles belonging to forces loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi explode after an air strike by coalition forces, along a road between Benghazi and Ajdabiyah on March 20."

"A destruction, an annihilation that only man can provoke, only man can prevent."
Elie Wiesel
Does this have the same impact on you and who or what is the destruction for you?

Sunset
Sitting here trying to write a 10, 000 word dissertation is proving difficult and my mind is easily wandering.
I just looked out my window to see this beautiful sunset and thought I would share it with everyone.

Look a Little Closer
Whilst I was away in France my brother was talking about a website where people take photos of things that have faces (Things With Faces) and upload for all to see. I tried looking for faces however it proves quite difficult (unless you count the odd plug socket or door handle) and I was unsuccessful.
I did however manage to take a photo of what I think looks like some kind of deer (or other animal of similar build) drinking from a semi-frozen waterfall. See what you think...
This is the original image...
..and here is the edited version if you need a little help spotting it!
Let me know what you think!

"You make me feel like spring has sprung!"
If you couldn't tell, I'm in a very springy mood (season wise not bouncy) so today when the sun was shining I got my camera out and took some pictures in the garden and house. My little pet tortoise came out to bask in the sun as well. Here's a few of my photos:

Graffiti
Is it art or crime?
Whilst driving down then mountain leaving Val D'Isere I put my camera to the window and got snap happy. For some I had no idea what I was taking and after looking back at them I realised I'd captured things I hadn't even seen whilst taking the photo.
I tried taking a picture of a mountain and noticed I actually captured a lot of graffiti and personally I thought it looked good. So I edited the picture to put emphasis on the graffiti instead of the mountain. I think it's art but see what you think.

Skiing
Since the age of 9 I have been fortunate enough to go skiing nearly every year. On Tuesdy I am flying off to France to meet my family who are already out there in Val D'Isere. The snow this year has hardly fallen (probably because it was crashing down on England instead) however there was a "dump alert" last week and apparently it is now perfect skiing conditions! As a dedicted student (or one who needs to do as much work as I can in the next two months) I am flying out after my statistics lecture and then taking lots of reading with me! Hooray! However I am looking forward to it and here are a few pictures from my previous skiing holidays.

Heights
When people talk about fears I have never been one to say I am affraid of heights. I have been to the top of the Eiffel Tower and quite happily looked down to the streets, however this was most likely due to the fact that I knew I wouldn't fall. My dad works in London and when I visited him at his office (building opposite the Gherkin) he took me into one of the meeting rooms where the windows are just glass walls. From here the views of London are impressive however it took a minute before I plucked up the courage to stand right next to the glass and look out over the city; having no "visible" barrier seemed to let the fear of heights creep into me.
From my phone - view of London
So what happens when every morning you go to work which just so happens to be at the top of a 1,768 foot (538m) transmission tower? Well to let everyone know these guys filmed their climb to work which involves using their strength to physically climb up the tower with no safety ropes or anything, just free climbing (with the occassional break). I think the only perk of the job is the 55 mile view of the world! This is a much watch video but one which will most likely make your tummy turn!

"Mistical"
This picture is one of my favourites from the London Aquarium because it is essentially just a fish tank however the changing light and the mist projects a mystical feel which attracts people like moths to a lightbulb. It captures something that one might hope to find whilst foraging through the jungle ... as I tend to do on a regular basis ...
