Over the bank holiday weekend there were two days of horse racing at the grounds in the village of Plumpton. On Monday I went along with my parents and boyfriend and was looking forward to a day of winning, I was rather optimistic! It was a great day, the weather was boiling and the drinks were flowing. The only problem with the weather was the fact the ground was hard and some horses couldn't race - this resulted in one race being cancelled otherwise it would have just been a one horse race. I personally love the horses and it did make me a little sad when the horses came out on to the track and one jockey fell off; the horse started running and did a full lap before anyone could catch it!
As I am not a heavy gambler my bets ranged from 2-4 pounds but I seem to have a knack for it as I won in 3 out of the 5 races making a profit of around 20 pounds! So it was a good day for me and it is a great day out, I would definitley say to anyone who hasn't been to the horse races to go along and enjoy the day, even if you lose!
