Ring Bling

The other day I did an asos order and one of the items that came was this 2 pound or so ring. I love it and think it can really bring a lot to an outfit just because it is massive and cool.

Plumpton Races

Over the bank holiday weekend there were two days of horse racing at the grounds in the village  of Plumpton. On Monday I went along with my parents and boyfriend and was looking forward to a day of winning, I was rather optimistic! It was a great day, the weather was boiling and the drinks were flowing. The only problem with the weather was the fact the ground was hard and some horses couldn't race - this resulted in one race being cancelled otherwise it would have just been a one horse race. I personally love the horses and it did make me a little sad when the horses came out on to the track and one jockey fell off; the horse started running and did a full lap before anyone could catch it!
 As I am not a heavy gambler my bets ranged from 2-4 pounds but I seem to have a knack for it as I won in 3 out of the 5 races making a profit of around 20 pounds! So it was a good day for me and it is a great day out, I would definitley say to anyone who hasn't been to the horse races to go along and enjoy the day, even if you lose!

Procrastination Devil

Today I handed in two essays and it is now just about two weeks till my dissertation is due. So in my mind I'm doing ok but I seem to be procrastinating at any given opportunity! Whilst listening to my new favourite singer Dierks Bentley (bit of country music) I found myself singing along to the lyrics of 'bad angel' (get off my shoulder) I started to realise I'm listening to the voice in my head saying do anything but work instead of the angelic voice begging me to get on with it all. So, to amuse myself and most likely procrastinate further, I made this!

This Little Piggy

Recently my dissertation has swamped my life. It is based on brand names, advertising and cognition so my brain is full of stuff about this and it seems that I can't not think about advertising. Whilst sitting in my room I started doodling and ended up drawing this little pig. Then I decided that this should be the one out of the five little pigs that went to market. When looking at my little drawing I though that if we all get sick of Alexander the meerkat we could possibly have a little pig that went to market.. and then a cleverer little pig who went to compare it instead. Ah well, either way, here he is.

Smells Like Strawberries

On Tuesday my boyfriend and I went on a picnic up the downs in Brighton. It was a lovely little trip, although a little chilly, with pretty views and ice cream. Although I was promised a day of no football it proved inescapable as the new Brighton stadium is a prominent feature in the Sussex hills, ah well - made a good photo!

Sunshine Sunday

After days of watching people enjoy the sun I finally indulged in a little sun soaking and cocktail drinking myself! Yesterday was so hot and sunbathing was just unavoidable, so I put on my polka dot bikini and sat outside drinking cosmopolitans with my family, who all drank margaritas, and enjoyed the hot weather.

 Dissertation and essay writing means days of sitting inside bound to my computer whilst watching the sun shine brightly outside and people walk around in shorts. I couldn't resist taking a few photos to capture this beautiful English weather!!
