"man made the cars to take us over the road"

James Brown's song may be a delight to listen to however in these snowy days it doesn't look like cars are going to get anywhere. Just when I thought the snow had finished there is more forecast! Northern England and Scotland are once again being subject to heavy snowfalls resulting in closed schools and more or less stand still of travel. Although other countries in Europe such as Scandanavia and Norway do suffer on days of extreme heavy snowfall they handle the situation a lot better. Organised traffic controlling, snow ploughs, overnight salt gritters and even heated pavements although the countries to deal with snow. Although they may be more used to the snow this is no reason for us not to draw comparisons. Inevitably for Britain to cope in this extreme weather it is going to cost a lot of money and people argue what's the point when our weather is so unpredictable... Well if the last three years are anything to go by I suggest the goverment put tax payer's money to a good use and start investing.
